At Universal, it is our continuous and consistent effort to hone our students to become holistic individuals and not merely degree holders. Keeping this in mind, we have an excellent communication skills curriculum in place for every student. L-S-R-W: A specific emphasis is laid on learning English proficiency with individual focus on Listening skills – emphasizing each one to become a good listener, Speaking skills – with a focus on corporate communication styles, Reading skills – with an emphasis on getting into reading habit beyond the syllabus books and Writing skills – commencing from writing one’s own Curriculum Vitae to writing other corporate communications.

We intend to initiate internship of our students in large corporates and SMEs from the time when they completed their 1st year of degree college. Hands-on experience at such an early age, which thereafter will continue on completion of their 2nd year of degree college will give them enough clarity and connect to the corporate world. An early exposure to the corporate world gives them an opportunity to show-case themselves to the outside world and their sincere work may lead to them being placed in companies of their choice.

With an experience of these 2 internships, students get an opportunity to experience and decide on which type of Job Description they will be comfortable in. On the other hand, if they are found apt in their work they may end up getting placement offers from the same organisation.
The College had organized the campus interviews for internship and placement. Our students were placed with IL & FS Ltd., Chola Mandalam Insurance Ltd., Indian Express, Wipro Ltd., Futur’z HR, Standard Chartered Finance Ltd., Angel Broking, Pantaloons, IndusInd Bank Ltd. and Motilal Oswal.
